Hello Colonials!

My name is Sydney, a sophomore from the cold town of Duluth, MN. While my home school is the Elliott School with a major in International Affairs, I am also double majoring in Organizational Sciences with minors in Economics and Public Policy.

Over the past year, I have had the honor of serving you as an SA Elliott School Senator. During my term, I have passed JEC Charter reforms, worked on expanding course descriptions, and supporting institutionalizing the Fall Break. As the undergraduate representative on the Elliott Strategic Planning Steering Committee, I advocated for the needs of Elliott students and established a Dean's Student Advisory Council, which is launching next month. I've also served on the Joint Committee of Faculty and Students, working to improve communication with professors.

In addition to the SA, I serve as a University Hearing Board Justice, the VP of Administration on the Alternative Greek Council, and a member of the CSE's New Org Committee. Additionally, I spent this summer as a staffer for Colonial Inauguration, welcoming to campus the newest members of the GW family. These diverse involvements have allowed me to gain a wide range of student perspectives and experiences, enabling me to be able to better advocate for students all across campus.

In my free time, I love listening to podcasts while knitting and drinking coffee. My unachievable life goal is to swim across Lake Superior from Duluth, MN to Batchawana Bay, Canada, while my retirement plans include raising alpacas on a blueberry farm.

I'm so excited to be running for EVP. I can't wait to continue talking and listening to you about what we can do better to serve the student body and bring your voice to the table.
